Listen to a new single, ‘Night Music’, now.

Experimental pianist Kelly Moran will return to Warp with a new EP.

Origin is an acoustic follow-up to her brilliant 2018 Warp debut Ultraviolet, and, according to the label, is a tribute “to the drive, determination and perseverance of Yuzuru Hanyu, the world-renowned figure skater from Japan who Moran considers one of her idols.”

The seven stripped-back songs featured on the EP were developed during the writing sessions from which Ultraviolet emerged, as Moran herself explains, “these recordings show firsthand my musical discoveries in real-time for when I was having my major creative breakthrough”.

Origin arrives via Warp on May 17.  Check out the cover art and tracklist below.

Tracklist:

01. ‘Reflexive Music (Autowave)’
02. ‘Helix II’

04. ‘Love Birds, Night Birds, Devil-Birds’
