Slinky The Golden Age Of The Apocalypse cut ‘Walkin” has just got a screwy new video, featuring a cameo from Brainfeeder boss Flying Lotus.

The video is directed by Holly & Kelly Port, but there’s clearly a big Eric Wareheim influence at work. Thundercat ambles around a suburban neighbourhood with skin-flick star Havana Ginger under one arm. All manner of Dadaist distractions take place around him: sentient bubbles, faceless families and a man with a horse’s head are all out in force.

It’s the sort of clip where much of the fun comes from not knowing what’s about to happen next. We won’t spoil FlyLo’s walk-on for you, but it’s clear that he’s not pitching for naturalism here. Barmy as the video is, the track still sounds absolutely lovely.

As just announced, Thundercat will be playing at the inaugural Hidden Depths night in London this May.
