Chromatics head to the funfair on ‘These Streets Will Never Look The Same’

By , May 29 2012

Time was when a Chromatics Kill For Love video was practically a daily occurrence.

The band were unusually industrious up loaders in the lead-up to their latest album, offering up a steady stream of kitsch, hypnotic promo clips for selected album tracks. Another clip has now emerged online, this time for AutoTune bonanza ‘These Streets Will Never Look The Same’.

As with previous transmissions, things are orchestrated by director Alberto Rossini. If previous videos saw the Portland combo mooching around the disco or swooning in their bedrooms, ‘These Streets Will Never Look The Same’ take Johnny Jewel and co out to funfair. There’s not a coconut shy or cork-gun range in sight: the sinister clip is much more ‘Carnival Of Horrors’ than ‘Carousel’. Look out for the ghostly Donna Summer tribute at the end.
