The hip-hop/R&B contortionist weaves samples throughout his dramatic two-parter ‘Charly Wingate.’

On ‘Charly Wingate,’ Hemsworth shifts from dark tribal rhythms to hopeful hip-hop theatrics; both the song and video dart between violence and playfulness. The clip is an aquatic storybook fantasy, directed by Octave Abaji and Hector De La Vallee, in conjunction with the Fusils a Pompe Graphic Squad.

Hemsworth has been on a tear recently: remixing Frank Ocean, reworking Grimes with Deniro Farrar, and producing for Haleek Maul. His Last Words EP, with remixes by Shlohmo and others, drops August 21 via Wedidit.
