Following on from new track ‘Die Life’, The Soft Moon have released another track for free download.

Although the world is hardly crying out for yet another dolorous coldwave record, we’ll always have space in our hearts for The Soft Moon. Luis Vasquez’s chthonic pop, showcased with such finesse on 2010’s The Soft Moon, is edgy, gritty and inventive enough to elevate it well above the rest of the murk-etplace.

Varquez will release new album Zeros on NY label Captured Tracks on November 5, and ‘Insides’ is another promising taster. Much more poppy/peppy than ‘Die Life’, ‘Insides’ takes a pretty vintage goth-pop instrumental and defaces it with all manner of sonic scrawl: white noise, filtered wails and needling guitar tones are all tossed into the mix. The track is available to stream/download below. [via The Quietus]

The project’s expanded live incarnation will be touring the UK in November – dates are as follows:

11-23 London, UK – Cargo
11-24 Bristol, UK – Start the Bus
11-25 Leeds, UK – Brudnell Social Club
