We’re not the first to say it, but Adele’s Skyfall theme is, by a country mile, the best Bond track in decades. 

The full audio was, rather cannily, released this morning at 0:07. The track is also now available as a download, and can be picked up here.

As reported, ‘Skyfall’ is co-written and produced by seriously busy gun-for-hire Paul Epworth. The track is also augmented by a 77 piece orchestra, which gives ‘Skyfall’ some serious heft. It’s a swooning and evocative reading of the Bond rubric – Connery to Madonna’s Lazenby.

The film will be released on October 26 in the UK, and November 9 in the US.
