With adventurous new album Kaleidoscope Dream getting praise from all sorts of quarters, Miguel took to The Late Show With David Letterman last night.
Miguel’s performance of ‘Adorn’ feels like a kingmaking moment. Shot in black and white and swathed in a lot of dry ice, the L.A. singer pulls some tricksy footwork, leaps off the drum riser and pulls some serious R&B idol postures. There’s also a Wizard Of Oz moment when everything bursts into full technicolour colour. All in all, it’s a remarkably assured performance from an artist stepping things up a gear or three.
