Young Echo’s darkest soul had dropped a pair of remixes, including an unlikely George Michael edit.  

The Tri Angle producer impressed with last year’s fuming Order Of Noise LP – a record of industrial raised on DMZ, of dub reggae as imagined by Tim Burton. On his latest remix, Vessel takes on Sarah Assbring’s bittersweet indie project El Perro Del Mar. Vessel systematically extracts the sweet, layering Assbiring’s vocals over a motorik thrum and wailing tremolo guitar.

As it happens, Vessel’s Soundcloud is also hosting a remix of George Michael’s fraught Mother’s Day favourite ‘Careless Whisper’. No sax licks here – in Vessel’s hands, the track becomes a swirl of jumbled vocals and industrial squall. Both tracks are below. [via Self-Titled]
