Hear the album version of James Blake's scorched-earth house track 'Voyeur'

The Overgrown promo train continues to trundle on.

As reported, Blake is set to release a dub rework of Overgrown track ‘Voyeur’ on his 1-800 Dinosaur label, backed with the comparatively spartan ‘And Holy Ghost’. The official album version of the track was finally premiered in full on Mary Anne Hobbs’ BBC Radio 6 Music show over the weekend, and it’s a similarly dancefloor-orientated cut. Things kick off in a similar vein to ‘Digital Lion’, with Blake bringing the melisma over a blasted ambient instrumental. Not for long, though: 90 seconds in, and ‘Voyeur’ has somehow become the housiest thing Blake’s every put his name to in years, all cowbells and unsurpressed glee.

Overgrown will arrive on Atlas on April 8, and features contributions from Brian Eno and RZA. [via Hypetrak]
