At least until next month’s lost treasure, Bona Dish are our current favourite rediscovered indie tyros.

The Herfordshire quartet were none-more-indie, fusing pretty songwriting with a DIY aesthetic (and garnering the requisite Peel stamp of approval in the process). Captured Tracks point to The Homosexuals and The Television Personalities as points of reference, and both are good fits:  jaunty pop belying hints of psychological disturbance is the order of the day.

Odds’n’sods collection The Zaragoza Tapes: 1981-1982 arrived last month courtesy of redoubtable indie reissue label Captured Tracks. For those that might have missed it, The Fader are now hosting a full stream of the LP, and it’s well worth your time. Click below to sift through a collection of forgotten early ’80s indie gems.

The Zaragoza Tapes: 1981-1982 is out now.
