Get your ear plugs ready, they’re back.

My Bloody Valentine‘s long-awaited m b v was far better than expected, and in support of that sprawling shoegaze masterpiece the storied dream poppers have been confirmed as headliners for Los Angeles’ FYF Festival. The festival runs on August 24 and 25, and has also confirmed appearances from Yeah Yeah Yeahs, TV On The Radio, Deerhunter, The Breeders, The Melvins, How to Dress Well and plenty more. It looks to us like if you want to re-live your 90s/early 00s indie fetish then this would be the festival to plump for.

There’s no word yet on whether the one-off show will be extended into a proper tour, but for now you can guarantee that if you manage to get to the L.A. State Historic Park on August 25, it’ll be loud, very loud (and all the better for it). [via Pitchfork]
