Silva nemesis.

Lil Silva‘s brittle UK funky deconstructions have seen him float to the surface of an ailing scene – last year’s Club Constructions EP on the Night Slugs imprint was a particularly scene-stealing turn, and it looks like he’s continuing this roll with the brand new The Distance EP.

Set for release on the Good Years label, The Distance‘s title track can be heard below and is a typically dense and low-end-heavy slow burner. While not as up-tempo as Silva’s better-known joints, it contains more than enough carefully-managed shuffle to keep that foot swinging and certainly leaves us eagerly anticipating the rest of the EP.

The Distance EP will drop on August 6 via the Good Years label. [via XLR8R]
