4AD soulful types inc.‘s debut album No World has been one of our favourites this year, and it’s encouraging to see album highlight ‘Angel’ get the royal treatment here with this very odd set of visuals.

For most of the track’s duration we just watch two figures flailing in slow motion, seemingly running from the camera as the track’s smooth soul floats overheard, but it takes a turn for the eerie when the camera moves to face the two figures. The duo are suddenly revealed, and are seen to be wearing grubby clown costumes and wielding a flaming guitar, looking like extras from Rob Zombie’s The Devil’s Rejects. It’s not a bad look either, if you ask us.
