Right on cue, here’s Future being honest.

The Auto-Tuned Atlantan has unveiled ‘Honest’, the first single from his new album of the same name, via a lengthy Ustream video (seriously – there’s a good 20 minutes of solo waffle, interspersed with on-brand declarations of “I’m just being honest”, before we get to the single).

Co-produced by Atlanta’s Metro Boomin and DJ Spinz, it’s an emotive piano ballad dressed up in glitchy synths and thundering low end, making for a neat yin and yang balance between balling and, well, bawling. Plus, ending each line with the word “honest” is not only a handy rhyming scheme, it also evokes one of the biggest tracks of this year, Rocko’s ‘U.O.E.N.O.’ (which Future appeared on alongside Rick Ross and, post-controversy, A$AP Rocky).

The album Honest will be released on 26 November. In the meantime, Future will be heading out on tour across the US with Drake and Miguel. [via The Smoking Section]
