Tuff Sherm takes techno voyage on remix of Eaux's 'New Peaks'

Eugene Hector (aka Dro Carey) dons his Tuff Sherm alias for his latest remix.

Eaux, a trio formed from the ashes of experimental pop collective Sian Alice Group, have released a handful of icy, industrial-indebted singles via London’s Morning Ritual. On ‘New Peaks’, Sian Ahearn’s ghostly vocals float over a bed of surging, seething electronics.

On his remix, Tuff Sherm pushes the uneasiness of the original into a darker, techno-friendly direction. He gradually adds sawtooth bass, ping-ponging synths, and pitch-shifted vocal clips as the remix ebbs and flows for over seven minutes. Stream/download it below; Eaux’s tour dates follow.
