Hyetal‘s shimmering full-length Modern Worship is one of the year’s finest collection of neon electronics, and now the Bristolian synth fetishist has shared an early version of one of its highlights.

‘Cloak and Dagger’ was eventually layered with a vocal and embellished with extra glossy layers of gooey analogue synth, so it’s pretty great to hear it in this early form. The stark minimalism adds a subtle sense of melancholy, and this version might even work better than its final iteration, if we do say so ourselves.

FACT went record shopping with Hyetal earlier this year, and you can see what he pulled out from the racks here.
