MiniNova owners can now create their own Italo disco opus.

If you’ve ever harboured a desire to make music just like Giorgio Moroder, then Novation has just released a pack of sound patches that could help you do just that.

The patches were originally included with the MoroderNova, a limited edition version of Novation’s MiniNova synthesizer. The MoroderNova is long sold out, but if you have a standard MiniNova you can take advantage of 30 of the 51 patches included with a free download. You simply need to make sure your device is registered with Novation and the pack should be available in the download area while logged in to your Novation profile.

Novation is also running a remix competition with its Launchpad for iOS app. Download the app and a special remix pack, turn in your remix and you could win a Bass Station 2 synth and a pair of AIAIAI headphones – the competition closes on November 30, and full details can be found at the Novation website.
