The first wave of acts heading for the City of Iron next summer has been announced.

Melt! Festival will return in 2016 with another huge line-up, this time led by chart-topping fraternal duo Disclosure, the all-conquering Jamie xx and Irish indie trio Two Door Cinema Club.

Boys Noize will celebrate his live premiere beneath the cranes of Ferropolis, the open-air mining site where the festival takes place, while M83 will perform material from the much-anticipated follow-up to 2011’s Hurry Up We’re Dreaming.

DJs across the weekend include Pampa Records top bod DJ Koze, Berghain resident Ben Klock, house star Honey Dijon and heavyweight Ed Davenport, while Skepta, Andy Stott, Sleaford Mods and Jamie Woon are among the acts playing live. As ever, Modeselektor will be back to curate the Melt!selektor stage.

Surrounded by huge coal mining excavators and a stunning lake set into the former quarry, Melt! is one of the most unusual festival settings in Europe, a couple of hours south of Berlin.

The festival takes place from July 15-17, 2016. Tickets are available now from the Melt! website.
