The festival unveils its first wave of artists alongside a preview mix.

Montréal’s Mutek festival returns June 1st this year with a new roster of electronic artist from around the world and an emphasis on audiovisual performance. The theme is best exemplified by newcomer Ash Koosha, who will perform his “virtual reality album” AKA with Oculus Rift triggered visual effects.

The festival also features drone icon Tim Hecker performing from his upcoming 4AD-debut Love Streams and footwork prodigy Jlin. It will also include Kara-Lis Coverdale, Colleen, recent DFA-signee Essaie Pas and Paul Jebanasam performing his brilliant recent album Continuum.
