To celebrate their 50th anniversary, British bootmakers par excellence Dr Martens have commissioned a number contemporary artists to cover 10 “cult classic” tracks from the past 50 years.

Of particular interest to FACT readers will be Dâm-Funk‘s take on The Human League’s 1981 synth-pop masterpiece ‘Things That Dreams Are Made Of’, and possibly also Buraka Som Sistema’s reinvention of Neneh Cherry’s ‘Buffalo Stance’. Other notable contributors include Noisettes (Buzzcocks’ ‘Ever Fallen In Love With Someone You Shouldn’t Have’) and The Cinematic Orchestra (er, Jeff Buckley’s ‘Lilac Wine’).
