Dan Snaith’s woozy Arthur Russell meets DNTEL stylings reached a new high on Swim, his latest album, and the Canadian has been deservedly rolling in festival bookings and remix commissions since.
Here he remixes Silver Columns, the formally anonymous electronic outfit who eventually outed themselves as Adem Ilhan (from Four Tet’s band, Fridge) and Johnny ‘Pictish Trail’ Lynch, turning ‘Always On’ into a eight minute epic brushed with live drums, handclaps and swooning, Hot Chip-esque romanticism.
