Chief Keef taken into custody; firing range video ruled a probation violation

The latest development in the 17-year-old rapper’s legal battle.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the controversial drill rapper has been taken into police custody, as a judge found he violated his probation for holding a gun in a Pitchfork-shot video. Keef, real name Keith Cozart, was under a court order not to handle a firearm while on probation for allegedly pointing a gun at police officers.

Update: Complex reports that Cozart was sentenced today to two months at the Illinois Youth Center in St. Charles, Illinois.
