Legowelt and XOSAR announce new EP as Xamiga

Legowelt and XOSAR – last seen busting ghosts as the PARASPECTER research group – are to collaborate once again as Xamiga.

The anologue-worshipping producers rarely stray from one another’s side these days. Last year saw them joining forces as Trackman Lafonte & Bonquiqui for a pair of rickety house releases on L.I.E.S. and Crème Organization. As Xamiga, they’ve also graced the books of Rush Hour, issuing the heady Unsolved Universe EP in late 2012. The latter alias will be dusted off again in March for a new EP, titled Oceania.

Oceania will arrive on Melbourne imprint M Division, responsible for numerous releases from Legowelt under his Nacho Patrol alias. The three-track is on a distinctly Drexciyan tip – quite aside from all the nautical styling, the closing track is essentially an extended Stinson and Donald tribute. ‘Atlantis Force Code’ is jacking house augmented by Radiophonic Orchestra tinkering, whereas the title track is a muffled electro cut.
