The purple one is on his way!

As we speculated at the start of the month, Prince has announced a tour of “iconic venues in and around London”, starting February 3, to celebrate the release of PLECTRUMELECTRUM, his debut album with his all-female backing trio 3RDEYEGIRL.

The first stop on the Hit And Run tour is the living room of UK singer-songwriter Lianne La Havas, who met Prince last year and jammed with him at his Paisley Park Studio. Apparently she jokingly offered her flat as the location for a press conference about the new album, and he went along with it.

Details are scarce so far, but expect an update as soon as we know more.

In other fabulous Prince news, Tuareg musicians are planning a remake of his 1984 film Purple Rain set in the Sahara Desert.
