Timbaland working on new Jodeci album, their first since 1995

The R&B group reunited last year.

Jodeci, comprised of K-Ci & JoJo, DeVante Swing and Mr. Dalvin, had a string of R&B hits in the early 90s, including ‘Forever My Lady’, ‘Come and Talk to Me’, and ‘Freek’n You’, before disbanding in 1998. K-Ci & JoJo continued their career separately and are best known for songs like ‘All My Life’ and their turn on 2Pac’s ‘How Do U Want It?’.

Jodeci reunited last year, and while their live performance left much to be desired, the group is reportedly working on a new album, which would be their first since 1995’s The Show, the After Party, the Hotel. (K-Ci & JoJo also mounted a comeback last year.)

In a video chat with fans, Timbaland says that he is working on the album. The move would represent Timbaland’s career coming full circle: DeVante discovered Timbaland through Missy Elliott, and is responsible for the super-producer’s moniker; one of his first production credits is Jodeci’s 1994 single ‘What About Us’.
