We love no wave here at FACT HQ, and you know what else we love? Point-and-click games.

Well Dorian SRed and a small team of devs have come up with a game based on New York’s no wave scene (think Sonic Youth, Lydia Lunch, Foetus et al), and it’s really quite brilliant. Reminiscent of classic Sierra games (for example Police Quest, or more accurately Leisure Suit Larry), you control Jim, a Brooklyn lad ready to discover the underground nightlife in Manhattan.

Sadly, we haven’t really gotten too far on this one – talk to the band and you might get killed, talk to a girl and you definitely get killed. It’s probably as close as you can get to a real nightlife experience, except your clothes will smell better in the morning.

Head here to play the game, and thanks to Electronic Beats for the heads up.
