If there’s one thing that Aphex Twin‘s legion of followers love to do, it’s speculate exactly what gear he’s been using all these years.

Throwaway lines in interviews and rare photos notwithstanding, the full extent of Richard D. James’ labyrinth of studios (he has multiple setups in his current home, if we’re to believe what we’ve been told) has never really been shown, until now that is.

As part of the incredibly straight-shooting artwork (which so far has detailed costs incurred in the album’s manufacture, from advertising to meetings and beyond), the specific gear used on each track has been listed in full. The pictures appeared in this month’s Creative Review, and were quickly interpreted by Reddit user SandvichDISH, who made the list more readable.

Then it started to get more detailed; when the pictures arrived on the modular synth forum Muffwiggler, member petejm worked out the sleeve’s code to decypher exactly which pieces of gear were used on which track. As other forumites mention, it’s clearly not a complete list of James’ entire arsenal, but it looks as if it’s everything he used on Syro. Now watch the prices shoot up considerably.

Here’s the gear list in full [via Reddit]:
