A new “coming of age” flick, premiering this month, revisits the glory days of filter house.

Eden is a loose history of the “French touch” movement – the retooled disco-house scene emerging in the mid ‘90s in Paris, spearheaded by the likes of Daft Punk, Etienne de Crécy and Philippe Zdar.

Directed by Mia Hansen-Løve, the French film plots the life and times of a fictional DJ from 1992-2013, rising from obscurity to global success. The cast, which features a raft of rising French actors, also includes mumblecore figurehead Greta Gerwig.

The trailer for the film, which premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday, has now hit the web. Quite understandably revolves around a loosely fictionalized version of Daft Punk – take a peek above.
