Just in time for Christmas, international sad-boy superstar James Blake has dropped his brand new record.

Entitled 200 Press, it’s a four track EP that oddly dispenses with the melancholy crooning that characterized Blake’s two successful albums, instead re-capturing the jazzy oddness of his earlier 12″s. There are still vocals just about present – the last track is a time-stretched recital of a poem, ffs – but this isn’t a blubstep record by a long shot.

You can hear the whole thing now over at Spotify (or use the embedded player below) – we reckon it might be the best thing Blake’s offered up in ages. [via Pitchfork]
