The fresh beat originator returns.
At the turn of the decade, James Pants was a regular feature around these parts: his string of LPs for Stones Throw culminated in FACT favorites Seven Seals and a self-titled record that we described as “an extraordinary edifying and entertaining listen.”
The Cologne-based talent has been relatively quiet since then, apart from collaborations with Vex Ruffin and Felix Kubin, which is why we’re excited that Pants is finally ready to release a new solo album.
Savage is due out on April 14 via Stones Throw, and while other information is scarce, it is available to pre-order on iTunes. Plus, Pants tweets that he’ll follow-up Savage with a rap album.
