The latest version of the software is free to Live 9 owners now.

Previously available as a public beta, the latest update to Ableton Live is now available in its finished form.

As previously detailed, the improvements in Ableton Live 9.2 include latency compensation, improved warping capabilities, a tuner and Max 7 for Max For Live users.

Owners of Ableton’s Push controller will also be able to take advantage of improvements including the ability to use all 64 Push pads to play drums and quickly switch back to 16 pads for step sequencing. It also includes improvements to the controller’s aftertouch capabilities.

Ableton is giving away a free sample pack from Mad Zach called the 64 Pad Lab to help you get to grips with the new features, which are outlined in the video below.
