Julian Smith will release his first album as October in the coming months.

Black Body Radiation will arrive “soon” via the White sublabel of Swedish techno hub Skudge Records. Smith’s eight-track effort blends elements of techno, industrial and EBM.

The versatile producer has been delivering his off-kilter analogue creations via labels such as Aus, Voodoo Down Records and Fred P’s Soul People Music for more than a decade. He also helmed the now-defunct Caravan Recordings label and currently operates the TANSTAAFL imprint alongside John Osborne.

Smith’s association with Skudge dates back to 2011 when he and Appleblim combined to create a ‘Bristol Version’ of the former duo’s track ‘Realtime’. Two October solo records followed that remix, arriving via Skudge Presents in 2012 and 2014.

Black Body Radiation will be out via Skudge White soon. Preview the album below. [via RA]
