New Order joins bands like Metallica and White Lung who have launched their own beer lines.

New Order have collaborated with Moorhouse’s Brewery of Burnley to concoct their own beer which will launch this autumn. It’s the perfect thing to drink while reading Peter Hook’s upcoming massive, “no-holds-barred” autobiography about the band’s history.

According to the band’s website, the brew is 4/2% alcohol and is a “refreshing and clean tasting golden ale with hints of citrus fruit and lychee, all balanced by a subtle bitterness.” They’ve named it Stray Dog after a track from their 2015, Hook-less album Music Complete.

The beer, which was crafted “th both new and established cask ale drinkers in mind” (lol), will be sold exclusively at Mitchells & Butlers pubs from August Bank Holiday weekend before being available nationally in September.
