As previously reported, The Vinyl Factory‘s deluxe box set edition of the Pet Shop BoysYes was part of Oxfam‘s online music auction for Haiti. The box set sold this morning for a record-breaking £3,100, over ten times its original price.

All of the money will go to aid the relief effort in Haiti. The box set, which was crafted by The Vinyl Factory in collaboration with Farrow Design, has already been nominated as one of The Design Museum’s prestigious Designs of The Year and voted the no.1 “most collectible product of the 21st century” by Record Collector. It was originally released last year in a limited edition of 300; you can find more about the project here.
