We’ve got something of a soft spot for Gemmy here at FACT. His Punch Drunk debut ‘Bass Transmitter’/’Bk 2 The Future’ is one of our favourite 12″s of recent years, and he was kind enough to take the roof off the Lock Tavern when he DJ’d at one of our FACT parties there last year.

Along with his mates Joker and Guido, the Bristol-based producer  has helped push the self-proclaimed “purple wow” sound, a synth-heavy take on dubstep that borrows from US R&B and the plasmic grime of producers like Rapid. Today’s Daily Download is taken from Carbon Logic‘s first ever 12″ release. Coming off the back of last year’s Grassroots Dubstep competition, they’ve taken winner Partition and runner-up Amusia and packaged their tracks with an exclusive Gemmy remix of Partition’s ‘Suspect’ track for a 12″ that heralds their debut album release.

Daily Download: Suspect – Partition (Gemmy Remix)
