Earlier this year, we told you about the new album by High Places, the haze-pop pair whose singles on labels like Upset the Rhythm and Post Present Medium and full-length releases for Thrill Jockey cemented them as one of FACT’s favourite bands.
Titled High Places vs Mankind, it will be the duo’s second album proper (2008’s 03/07 – 09/07 is a compilation of past singles), and will be released on April 5. Today, more audio has surfaced from it. The new video for ‘The Longest Shadows’, from vs Mankind, can be watched here:
And even better, Thrill Jockey are giving away a second free download. Following ‘On Giving Up, which you can still download here, is a remix of ‘Can’t Feel Nothing’, which won’t appear on the album but will appear on a 12” single that will follow it, due for release “in time for an upcoming spring tour:
Download: High Places – Can’t Feel Nothing (Remix)
The 12” will feature the original ‘Can’t Feel Nothing’ and ‘I Was Born’, both past digital singles, as well as the remix above and more remixes of album songs.
