This month sees the release of a six-track LP by Big Strick, including three remixes by Omar-S (pictured), on the latter’s own FXHE imprint.

A 2×12″ package, it’s the follow-up to Strick’s well-received 2009 EP 7 Days, which found him establishing his own slant on the gritty, motor-oil-flecked deep house sound pretty much owned by Omar.

The first 12″ of the new release is given over to three Strick productions, while the second boasts three Omar-S interpretations replete with his trademark ultra-crisp drum programming. If you’ve seen Omar (real name Alex Smith) DJ recently, you may well recognise the second of these three uniformly excellent remixes.
