We’ve been bubbling to the sounds of London house chap Benjamin Semtek for a while now; here he’s remixed by Mr. Beatnick to deeply atmospheric effect on his new single for Don’t Be Afraid.

Mr. Beatnick is one of those guys who seems to have been a part of every musical scene you’ve ever liked since like 1950; his knowledge of house, hip-hop, broken beat and more is immaculate (as evidenced by his pieces for FACT on Madlib and Broken Beat), and he’s also a superb producer in his own right – his excellent ‘Fallin’ Apples’ 7″ is playing in the FACT office as we speak, and it still sounds as good as when we reviewed it back in January.
