FACT’s next bi-monthly bash at Camden’s Lock Tavern is an Independence Day special with Guido, Pearson Sound, xxxy and an all-day terrace barbeque on the 4th of July.

As many of you know, Bristol’s Guido has just released his first album, the stunning Anidea on Punch Drunk. His musical upbringing is inspired by grime, and his ties to dubstep run deep, but his music is, at heart, pop, reliant on overwhelming hooks and melodies provided by both guest vocalists and synthesized instruments. Oh, and his ‘Mad Sax’ is well up there with the best tunes of the year. He doesn’t play London often, so this is a treat.

Pearson Sound is another persona of David ‘Ramadanman’ Kennedy, arguably the most consistent UK producer of the past few years. This guy has made so much good music – early single ‘Carla’; the Villalobos-adopted ‘Blimey’; the all-conquering house smash ‘Wad’; his experimental six-track Ramadanman EP; the Baltimore-leaning ‘Glut’; future single ‘Work Them’ that’s basically ‘Footcrab’ part two – that there are very few on his level. This is his first set as Pearson Sound, so we’re intrigued as to what’s in store.

Finally, xxxy is one of the up-and-coming artists featured on Fabric’s Elevator Music compilation, with the brilliant ‘Sing With Us’, but he’s since topped that with his tracks for infrasonics, including the stunning ‘Know You’. We’re psyched to have him down.

As ever, entry is totally free, and you’ll want to get down early to avoid not getting in. Warming up will be your reliable FACT DJs, playing the best of everything, ever.
