Watch an in-depth tribute to the hip-hop luminary, featuring Will Smith and Chuck D.

Last November saw the passing of Jamaican-born rapper Heavy D. As well as being the star performer with Heavy D And The Boyz from the late 1980s onwards, he also gained notoriety as the president of Uptown Records (where he famously took on a young Diddy as an office hand). His life is now examined and celebrated in a new film, currently being hosted by Mr World Premiere.

Talking heads include Will Smith, Chuck D and Queen Latifah, alongside an array of friends and family. As biography goes, it’s an undeniably rose-tinted account. But those with only a passing knowledge of D’s work will learn a lot about one of rap’s more colourful figures. The title of the documentary is taken from his final Twitter post.
