Like Julio Bashmore and Mosca, Diplo is now the proud owner of a Radio 1 show.

The first edition of Diplo & Friends aired on BBC Radio 1 on Saturday night. Diplo’s first friend is puckish Canadian producer Lunice, currently larking about with Hudson Mohawke as one half of TNGHT. The show is pretty hip-hop heavy – A$AP Rock, Waka Flocka Flame and Ludacris all get spins – but, this being Diplo, there are all sorts of pan-global sounds in the mix as well.
