Techno veterans and tireless post-punk cheerleaders The Black Dog and Regis have put together a new mix of music from the heyday of British independent music.

Entitled We Confess – 1977-84, the mix – recorded for, and available from, MNML SSGS – contains no less than 28 songs, some by well-known artists (The Human League, Felt, Adam & The Ants), others by more cult concerns (1919, UK Decay, Dorothy). Extra points for a clutch of quality goth inclusions (Play Dead, Sex Gang Children, Virgin Prunes) and some choice cuts from the anarcho-punk fall-out (Zounds, Honey Bane, Rudimentary Peni).

We needn’t say any more – you know you’re in good hands with these gents.
