Kidnap Kid’s previous efforts have been in the R&B-inflected, house-garage hybrid style du jour. On his remix of The Milk’s ‘Every Time We Fight,’ he takes a capable slice of Northern soul and turns it into a well-constructed disco track. The remix is well-paced with a nice sense of structure, and the way he massages synthesized vibraphone is a subtle touch.
