Premiere: Stream Escape from Chicago, a footwork comp from Chrissy Murderbot's Loose Squares imprint

The electronic music encyclopedist curates a global footwork compilation.

Chrissy Murderbot’s music is defined by its ADHD-addled genre-hopping and playful, irreverent streak, whether he’s crafting hyperkinetic dance tracks or Kickstarting a disco side project called Chris E. Pants.

But something that is obviously close to his heart is footwork, his hometown’s most recent contribution to dancefloors around the world. Escape From Chicago: Loose Squares Compilation Vol. 1 will be out October 29 on Murderbot’s Loose Squares. This is the label’s first compilation and (as the title suggests) the collection focuses on everything except for Chicago talent.

Among the contributors on Escape From Chicago are ghettotech legend DJ Godfather, UK rave collaborators LV & Mumdance, and Barcelona club fiend Cardopusher. Stream the compilation below; the full track list follows.

Escape From Chicago: Loose Squares Compilation Vol. 1:
1. Atki2 – When Fire Starts
2. 618 – Freak You
3. Pixelord – Footpork
4. Actraiser – Lost In The Jungle
5. DJ Godfather – Bring It Back
6. Nickotine – Crack
7. Cardopusher – Donde Estan Las Mujeres
8. LV & Mumdance – Steak Night
