A member of discontinued New York underground crew NonPhixion, Ill Bill has been blending rock riffs with rap lyrics both political and ghoulish since the 1990s. 

Bill’s new album The Grimy Awards is due for release on January 29 – you can now hear the El-P featuring ‘Severed Heads of State’. The album also features spots from legendary New Yorkers DJ Premier, Large Professor and Pete Rock, plus Bad Brains vocalist H.R., who worked with Bill on 2008’s The Hour of Reprisal.
