DaVinChe’s only in his mid 20s, but he’s already a well-seasoned grime veteran.

Breaking out as a teenager when grime was still nascent, he’s produced for just about everyone, including scene stalwarts (JME, Kano) and crossover stars (Tinchy Stryder, Tinie Tempah). Once yoked to the Essentials crew, he’s since reinvented himself as a solo artist, releasing the crossover grab Open Minded earlier this year.

Shmaltzy lead track ‘Jay-Z Money’ has been given a bright remix by DVA protégée Shy One. In keeping with her spry Bedknobs And Boomkicks for DVA Music, the new track is a playful bit of UK funky. The vibe is woozy, but Shy One’s forceful percussion programming cuts through the fog. It’s the sort of knees-up fun that couldn’t have come from any other island – whatever ‘Jay-Z Money’ is, Shy One’s measuring it in shillings and sixpence. Click below to grab the track.
