The Australian alt-pop singer-songwriter performs Rihanna’s latest single.
Apart from her decade-long career as a solo artist, Sia Furler has been a featured performer (for Zero 7 and David Guetta) and a behind-the-scenes songwriter (for Ke$ha, Christina Aguilera, and Neyo). Her latest credit is for writing Rihanna’s divisive number one, ‘Diamonds’.
Yesterday, Sia performed the song at the Norweigan-American Achievement Award ceremony with famed producers Stargate. It’s not vastly different from the original, but Sia’s voice is undeniably stronger than that of the Barbadian pop princess. Rihanna’s Unapologetic is out now. [via Vulture]
