The degraded, black-and-white clip matches the unforgiving acerbity of the song.

In FACT’s review of The Soft Moon’s Zeroes, William Skar noted the development of the band’s stage presence: “Vasquez and co administer an audiovisual harshing – a blitzkrieg of strobe lights, stuttering visuals and very, very, very loud noises.”

That same approach is on display on ‘Insides’, as the video alternates between stark, surrealistic doorway-in-the-desert imagery and a bit of Cartesian plane projection. The Mojave desert is a significant marker in the biography of The Soft Moon’s Luis Vazquez, and it’s never looked creepier.
