With his Trap Lord tape just around the corner, A$AP Mob’s Ferg has dropped a moody visual accompaniment to the old-school ’40 Below’.

Channeling (and cleverly referencing) Biggie in a way that can’t help but remind us of yesterday’s announcement, Ferg drops his most convincing golden age flow so far, and if you didn’t know better you might think it’s ’94 all over again. There’s even a hint of sadly passed GOAT contender Big L in Ferg’s confident delivery, and with dusty 12-bit drums and creepy vocal cuts it should make you pine for times past without coming across as preachy.

This is sterling stuff from a rapper who is steadily inching further away from the shadow of A$AP Rocky and becoming the most reliable member of the mob.
