Premiere: FaltyDL remixes Toro y Moi's 'Rose Quartz'

The Ninja Tune veteran recasts one of Chaz Bundick’s latest offerings.

‘Rose Quartz’ appears on Toro y Moi’s fourth album, Anything In Return. The tune is a slow-burning Balearic-take on electrofunk typical of Bundick’s rejection of “chillwave” constraints.

As expected, FaltyDL’s remix is percussive, oft-kilter, and captivating. Only shades of the original remain, as he focuses on a shifty garage rhythm and wisps of Bundick’s vocals and melody. Stream it below.
